Artclay Silver: During the firing process, the organic binders burn away and the resulting silver particles "sinter", becoming denser and stronger. Once completely fired, the remaining piece is composed of 99.9% pure silver.

Caring for Jewelry:

Surface Patina:
Some of my pieces have been treated with liver of sulfur to darken and add depth to surface details. Please take care when cleaning and avoid harsh cleaners that can remove this intentional darkening.

Silver Jewelry:
If your silver is oxidized put a small amount of dish soap and water on an old toothbrush and brush gentle (being very gentle around the pearls). If your jewelry has pearls, chain or stones you can shine them up using a polishing cloth.
